Coping with COVID and the Myth of a Collective China

Reflecting on the development of global economic system, present article describes phenomenon hyper-individualism in age “second modernity” and, making a distinction between “family collective” and “patriotic collective”, discusses individual’s oscillating loyalty family nation state this process. An answer is sought to question why, contemporary period, individuals who are confronted with (health) crisis appear have lost confidence authority state, regardless whether they live country democratic government or one an authoritarian regime.
